Specimen Requirements

1. Submit 1 mL of freshly passed stool (no preservative added) in a screw-capped, sterile container. (Do not contaminate stool specimen with urine.)
2. Maintain sterility and forward promptly.
Note: 1. Fresh specimen may be refrigerated ≤3 days.
2. Indicate specimen source on specimen container and in computer.
