Specimen Requirements

Container/Tube Type: 

Red (No Additive)
SST (Serum Separator)

 

Collection Information: 

Collect 3.0 mL of blood in a red serum or serum separator tube.

 

Transport Information: 

Transport 1.0 mL serum refrigerated in a plastic vial.

 

Minimum Sample Volume: 

1.0 mL of blood/0.5  mL of serum

 

Unacceptable Conditions: 


Gross Lipemia or Gross Hemolysis or does not meet collection, storage or transport requirements.

Frozen Stability:
