Specimen Requirements
Container/Tube Type:
This test requires it's OWN collection tube.
Preferred Collection Container:
SST (Serum Separator)
Also Acceptable Collection Container:
Red (No Additive)
Collection Information:
Collect 5.0 mL of whole blood into a serum separator tube (preferred). This test requires it's own collection tube.
Transport Information:
Allow tube to clot for 30 minutes and then centrifuge and refrigerate. Specimens may be received unspun if collected in red top - DO NOT SPIN RED TOP TUBES. Send original tube.
Minimum Sample Volume:
3.0 mL
Unacceptable Conditions:
Unlabeled or mislabeled samples will be rejected. HLA will determine specimen acceptability for reasons other than unlabeled/mislabeled.
