Specimen Requirements
Container/Tube:
Preferred: Green-top (lithium heparin) tube
Acceptable: Gold-top serum gel tube or plain, red-top tube
Minimum Specimen Volume: 3.1 µL of plasma or serum
Stability: Amylase in serum and heparinzed plasma is stable for up to 7 days
at room temperature and 1 month at 2-8°C.
